Have you ever just needed a new project, but you weren’t sure just what you wanted to work on? Well, I have a roundup of six amazing crochet patterns for you that vary from projects for baby to wearables!
I recently had the privilege of hosting part of a designer spotlight in which each of these patterns were featured for a day by the Pineapple • Pine Maker Community. In this post, you will find a variety of patterns. Each one was submitted by the designer as a pattern that they wanted to feature. You will also get to read a short write-up about each designer and the inspiration behind each design!

The Pineapple Tee by The Plush Pineapple
Inspiration
After I had designed a few things, I knew I wanted to try my hand at garment making. Since my brand focuses on love, sunshine, and pineapples, I knew that I wanted to incorporate a pineapple silhouette into the color work. I also knew that I wanted open stitching at the yoke and thus The Pineapple Tee was born!
Description
This pattern is a perfect make for a beginner who is new to garment making. It features two rectangles seamed together. Yarn is joined to the armholes to make the sleeves, and there you have it! Shirt…done! The color work can be tricky if you are new to color work, but I provide picture assistance in the pattern. It’s also a great make for summer as it uses cotton yarn, and the color options are endless!
Designer
Sarah is the maker and designer behind The Plush Pineapple. She is a wife of thirteen years to her college sweetheart and momma to two awesome kiddos. When she is not crocheting, designing, or blogging, you can probably find her soaking up the sun or eating seafood. Her goal as a designer is that love, sunshine, and pineapples make their way into the hearts and homes of all who make her designs.

Finnley the Fox by BissyCrowechet
Description
Meet Finnley the Fox. Finnley is a super sweet but mischievous little fox. However, Finnley does love to cuddle up with his favorite human. This little guy would be perfect for any fox lover, no matter the age! He is roughly ten inches tall from his tooshie to the tips of his ears; however, depending on the type of yarn and hook size used his finished measurements will vary. Gauge is not really all that important with Finnley. Just be sure to keep your tension the same throughout. This pattern is of an intermediate level.
Designer
Elizabeth is the owner and operator of BissyCrowechet. She is an aspiring crochet amigurumi designer. She strives to fill a space within a child’s heart with a huggable and loveable friend that will always be there for them.

The Flutter Beanie by The Happy Peapod
Inspiration
I was inspired to create this beanie when a family member sent me a photo of a beanie she wanted me to make as a Christmas gift for each of her three kids and two nieces. She asked me to make something similar to the photo but to add my own personal touch! This totally excited me. It can be challenging to be bound to a project that isn’t your own when you’re a creative yourself! This was part of the reason I began transitioning to designing over selling finished projects. There’s just something magical about someone wanting your very own design. My creative mind is constantly working and I LOVE putting those ideas and dreams to my hands and making them come to life, so this pattern was exactly what I needed!
Description
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to WEAR a hug on your head? The Flutter Beanie is an easy and cute SQUISH-worthy beanie pattern. It’s perfect for the cold winter months to keep your head nice and cozy warm. This fabulous beanie is fun to make with an easy-to-follow pattern and a variety of sizes.
The 5 available sizes include: 3-6 Month, 6-9 Month, 12-18 Month, Toddler, Adult.
The Flutter Beanie pattern includes photos and video links for stitches and techniques used. This is a beginner-friendly pattern that uses worsted weight 4 yarn.
Designer
The Happy Peapod was created by Courtney, the creative mind behind the Pod! She loves all things yarn, tacos, and animals. Her favorite non-yarny things to do are spending time with her family, camping, and enjoying the sunshine.

Horse Baby Mat by Edyth Blayn
Description
The Horse Baby Mat is a cute and cushy resting place for a baby! When I was pregnant with our second child, a coworker gifted me a puppy dog baby mat, and that is where the inspiration came from for this project. The entire pattern is worked using the single crochet stitch, so it is beginner-friendly! I used Bernat Blanket, but any super bulky weight 6 yarn would work.
Designer
Ashley named her blog Edyth Blayn in honor of her grandmas, both crafty in their own ways, who passed “the bug” down to her. Ashley loves Jesus, her high school sweetheart husband, and their three children. If Ashley isn’t crocheting, you can find her chasing after her littles, helping her husband on the farm, or working as a nurse.

Africa Potholder by Pukapuka
Inspiration
I love simple practical things that one can use daily. I was looking for something small that I could make quickly for a last minute gift on different occasions. A potholder seemed perfect! As a crocheting geographer, I include maps in my patterns very often. This time was no different. Don’t you agree that geography donates great graphic designs for free?
Description
This Africa Potholder consists of two squares worked in rows and is beginner friendly. It uses single crochet stitch throughout! One minor difficulty could be changing colors, but if you’ve never tried before, this is a simple pattern to start with! I made it with Drops Safran, which is 100% cotton in sport weight and comes in beautiful colors. In fact, any cotton yarn will work fine. The gauge is not so important when working on a potholder.
Designer
Maria is the maker and designer behind Pukapuka, a brand that took its name from an atoll in French Polynesia. She studied geography at Warsaw University (Poland), and at the same time she fell in love with crochet. After several years of crocheting everything from beanies, blankets, pillows, and all the rest (together with translating mountain guidebooks and raising her kids), she realized she should crochet MAPS. This pattern is a nice cartography introduction to her designs.

Prairie Breeze Bonnet by Warming the Heart
Inspiration
One source of inspiration came in the form of a gift. Lion Brand had just come out with their Go For Faux yarn. My business partner and best friend, Rachel, gifted me a skein of it. This gift almost immediately sparked the remaining inspiration needed and just one short day later, the Prairie Breeze Bonnet was born. Since I also had a two-year-old and four-year-old girl at the time, it was a natural step to make one for each of them. I am in love with the result and the way my girls look sporting their bonnets. They also love to wear them and these bonnets sold really well at our craft shows this year!
Description
This gorgeous bonnet works up easily and quickly. It is perfect for winter, spring, or fall and your little one is sure to steal the show in this eye-catching bonnet. This pattern comes with written instructions for sizes newborn to child. It also looks cute without the finishing touch of fur! It is an advanced beginner skill level using a fun combination of simple stitches.
Designer
Rebekah resides in Delaware with her husband and three daughters. She is the founder and owner of Warming the Heart and enjoys designing and making crocheted accessories. Some of her favorite pastimes include snuggling up with a good book, researching heritage through genealogy, and eating all the delicious snacks.
